LANESENSE™ LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
The vehicle lane position is monitored by cameras and if the car approaches the lane boundaries unintentionally the system provides a visual and audible warning. Additionally, in case of lane drift the system proactively leverages the electronic power steering to help the driver taking a corrective action and getting back in the lane.
BLIND SPOT MONITORING AND REAR CROSS-PATH DETECTION
By constantly monitoring the space between your vehicle and others, the Blind Spot Monitoring System helps you maintain the right safety distance. When a side or rear blind spot is met, you are notified via illuminated icons on the side view mirrors or an audible chime.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Renegade can be equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which greatly increases the value and comfort of cruise control, especially in congested traffic situations. The system uses a radar sensor mounted at the front of the vehicle to detect objects in its path and it will automatically adjust to a safe distance.
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING WITH CRASH MITIGATION
This innovative system, thanks to radar and video sensors, detects whether the Jeep® Renegade is approaching another vehicle or large obstacle in its path too rapidly and warns or assists you in avoiding/mitigating the incident, sending audible and visual alerts or even applying the brakes.
PARKING SAFETY AND SECURITY
When it comes to parking, we’ve got your back. The Renegade features plenty of available parking features to help make pulling in and backing out as simple as can be.
BACK UP WITH CONFIDENCE
Pull into and out of parking spots easily with the available ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera.The ParkView system provides a wide-angle view of the area behind the Renegade with dynamic gridlines overlaid on the Uconnect™ touchscreen to help with alignment. Audible or on-screen warnings are given when a hidden rear object is sensed, giving the driver time to react.
GET INTO A TIGHT SPOT
The available ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System uses sonar to detect stationary objects behind the vehicle. Audio and visual signals alert the driver when obstacles are close, allowing the driver to adjust his or her parking procedure. Rear Cross Path Detection warns the driver of traffic moving behind the Renegade whenever the vehicle is shifted into reverse. The system controls the steering wheel while the driver needs to control the gear, brake and throttle position.
CONVENIENCE FEATURES
Passive Entry / Keyless Go
The system can identify the presence of an electronic key near the door and the tailgate, allowing unlocking / locking the doors or the trunk without having to press any button on the electronic key.
Available Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers
Storm clouds shouldn’t stop you from exploring. Available rain-sensing windshield wipers activate when raindrops are detected.
Automatic High-Beam Control Headlamps
Automatically switch between high- and low-beam headlamps when driving at night for optimum visibility.
